Who We Are
I couldn't pull this venture off without the support and help of my family. Luckily, they understand just how necessary it is for me to teach children in nature.
Teacher
Bridger Hahn
A native North Carolinian, I studied Non-Profit Management at the College of Charleston before receiving a Master of Arts in Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I have been a classroom teacher for the last decade where I enjoyed putting my love for nurturing young minds into practice.
Bringing children and adults into balance with nature is my driving focus. I have a love for creating spaces and gathering information to share with my fellow humans that will inspire, create connections, and motivate us all to keep striving to take care of ourselves and our planet. When we take care of ourselves, we take care of each other.
Creative Builder
Nick Hahn
An eye for detail, this guy can build anything! He built our deck, a stellar outdoor shower, our gorgeous treehouse in the oaks, and most recently, our mud kitchen! When he's not working at Two Wheeler Dealer or building things for us, he can be found biking, surfing, serving on the board of the Friends of Carolina Beach Parks and Greenway nonprofit, or coaching the Wilmington Cape Fear Fins Mountain Bike Team. To say he is energetic is an understatement!
Kid Resident
Zeke Hahn
An 8th grader at Murray Middle School, Zeke handles mowing the grass, feeding our pets, and being an amazing young man we love to parent. He's an all-around kind and considerate kid who couldn't make us more proud. He plays the stand-up base in the orchestra at school and rides on the Cape Fear Fins Mountain Bike team on the weekends.
Resident Pets
Moe, Roxy and Ninja
Moe is our 11-year-old Flat Coated Retriever who acts like the Nanny in Peter Pan. His breed is also called "the Peter Pan" of dog breeds as they never show their age! When you come to our house, he thinks you've come to see him. He will never greet you without something in his mouth. Ninja and Roxy are our cross-eyed Siamese mix cats. Roxy loves having kids here to hold and chase her.
Newest members of the family!
Kiki and Koko
Bunnies, oh my! Kiki and Koko are here and settling in to their corner of the garden! Kiki is a little escape artist keeping us all on our toes! Koko enjoys being held. They both love to be touched by gentle, caring hands. We give them lots and lots of love in gratitude for their natural fertilizer! Thank you Kiki and Koko!
